Trust was registered under India Trust Act 1982 wide registered doc. No 218
Operates as a Not –For –Profit organizations (NPOs),and carries the name “Trust” to reflect the Relationship between donors’ funding and the organisation.
Acts as an implementation partner to its Trustees, Corporates, Government and, other donors in the promotion of sport and recreation by assisting and executing their corporate social responsibility programmes
We “The United Sports Promoting Trust” was established to incorporate sport as a vehicle to help bring about positive change and social cohesion in a country desperately in need of healing and stability.
The Trust was formed with its Vision “Enhancing Education through Sport”and Mandate to provide sporting infrastructure, kit and equipment and programmes aimed at “developing the young people of Tamil Nadu” for the sports person from lower income category family. This positive influence will help to provide hope, inspiration, opportunities and platforms for them to advance their sporting ambitions and dreams.
As Sports impart great virtues of life and play an important role in enabling any person to succeed in all aspects of life. Sports is also crucial for overall “youth development”. Though sports youth imbibe the spirit of endurance and fellowship, willingness to venture, competence and confidence in life.
Young people are full of energy, courage, spirit of adventure, hope and ambition. Therefore, youth are not only the future of a country but also a great resource for the country. They have a crucial role in constructive and developmental activities of the society.
We understood that sport development and providing sustainable programmes needed to be our contribution towards building a new and prosperous country with equal opportunities for all its citizens, both abled and disabled. It further cemented our commitment as a contributor towards the constitutional change objectives and to be a catalyst for transformation in sport, on this journey of renewal for our rainbow nation.
The financial support from our donors and funders, such as our long standing Trustees, ensure that schools and communities those in need, benefit from these investments, for the betterment of all, through sport. This is further supported by our slogan of “Enhancing Education through Sport”.
We believe that by partnering with all our stakeholders it’s possible to deliver on our Mandate of sustainability, as a priority, to ensure tangible results and outcomes, and providing an opportunity for all in Tamil Nadu to participate in sport.
What We Do
Enhance Education through Sport by providing sporting equipment, kit and building facilities for sports person from economically weaker section family so that they have access and the opportunity to participate in sport, in particular focusing on government schools.
We assist both abled and disabled communities, and cover all sporting codes.
Key consideration is given to the funders’ requirements in order to achieve their CSI AND CSR outcomes
